  • heel cradle

    Wraps around your heel without pushing on the heel counter inside the running shoe. By gently compressing your heel pad, the natural cushioning under your heel is utilized, weight is evenly distributed under your heel, all without causing your heel to slip out of the back of your shoe.

    The heel cradle in KNEED2Run is designed to optimally connect with your heel and fit inside the heel counter of running shoes. The heel doesn’t push out the heel counter of the running shoe, allowing the shoe to hold your heel the way it was meant to without slippage. There is no sacrifice between support and slippage.  While inside your shoe, the shape of KNEED2Run utilizes your natural heel pad, by gently compressing it, and optimizing that cushioning under your heel. In addition, the rounded bowl matches the shape of your heel while the flat surface underneath the insole matches the flat surface inside your shoe.  We are taking your shoe and giving it a three dimensional shape to match your unique foot inside the shoe.

  • adaptive arch support

    Biomechanically shaped to ensure support from the heel all the way to the ball of the foot.

    The medial longitudinal arch (typically just called “the arch” of the foot even though you technically have three) is shaped to ensure you have support from your heel to the ball of your foot (at the base of the big toe). The arch shape is based on the most common arch length and height for your shoe size.  To fit your arch length you may have to choose a KNEED insole that is one size smaller or larger than your shoe size to ensure a proper fit. Your arch should have a gentle contact point all along the inside shape of the insole. If a higher arch support is needed to contact your foot you can have your local independent KNEED dealer use a pillow molding technique to raise the arch. This will be in the case in less than ten percent of the population. People with lower arches (pes planus or flat feet) will typically find the additional support of KNEED2Run exactly what they were looking for. However, you can apply weight to the heated product to lower the arch support to a comfortable level.

  • PORON® PERFORMANCE cushioning

    This is the best performance cushioning for impact absorption.  You want to touch the ground but you don’t want your bones to feel it.

     

    Poron® is the material that professional athletes demand when they are having their shoes custom made.  It provides the highest shock absorbing properties as well as exceptional resiliency.  Poron’s resiliency allows it to absorb the impact immediately and return to its original shape allowing you to pound it again and again.  The material is also made from open cell urethanes making it breathable.  Comparing to the top running shoe brands we selected 2.5mm of Poron® to replace the ideal thickness of the factory sockliners that come with your running shoes.  Absorb, breath, repeat!

  • flexible

    Following the direction of your foot, Kneed2Run flexes with your foot and also maintains its shape where you need the support.

     

    Often support in orthotics and insoles is achieved by using hard materials that don’t allow the rest of your foot to bend where you need it to. At worst the insoles can be overly restrictive and at best they bend just shy of where you would ideally want. By using a variable density ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA) material, Kneed2Be supports your foot and then transitions towards your natural flex areas.
